Meet Elyse-

Born and raised in Homer, Alaska, I moved to the Quimper Peninsula in 2012 and stuck around to enjoy the much longer growing season. Tending plants has always been a meaningful part of my life, from when I was a child helping my mom in her garden, to my first job at age 13 working on a peony farm.

My dream of turning my passions for farming, community, and creative expression into my livelihood came true in 2020 when I formed Fig and Otter Farm. Named after my 2 pups, they are my constant companions and embody the spirit of the farm with their sweet, positive, and lively personalities.

Meet Fig & Otter!

The namesake of the farm! Fig & Otter are sister and brother—Fig is the spunky one, consistently sneaking off to investigate the compost pile, while her brother Otter enjoys sticking close to his people (where there’s a more likely chance of having his ears scratched).

Their breed is “black dogs with white spots on their chests.”
